Recursive contact tracing in Reed–Frost epidemic models

چکیده

We introduce a Reed-Frost epidemic model with recursive contact tracing and asymptomatic transmission. This generalizes the branching-process introduced by authors in previous work [arxiv:2004.07237] to finite populations general networks. simulate numerically for two representative examples, complete graph square lattice. On both networks, we observe clear signatures of contact-tracing phase transition from an "epidemic phase" "immune as contact-network coverage is increased. verify that away singular line perfect tracing, finite-size scaling on each network lies corresponding percolation universality class. Finally, use quantify efficacy regimes where spread not contained.

Epidemic Contact Tracing via Communication Traces

Traditional contact tracing relies on knowledge of the interpersonal network of physical interactions, where contagious outbreaks propagate. However, due to privacy constraints and noisy data assimilation, this network is generally difficult to reconstruct accurately. Communication traces obtained by mobile phones are known to be good proxies for the physical interaction network, and they may p...

Approximate Bayesian Computation for epidemiological models: Application to the Cuban HIV-AIDS epidemic with contact-tracing and unobserved infectious population

Statistical inference with missing data is a recurrent issue in epidemiology where the infection process is only partially observable. In this paper, Approximate Bayesian Computation, an alternative to data imputation methods such as Monte Carlo Markov chain integration, is proposed for making inference in epidemiological models. This method of inference is not based on the likelihood function ...

Modeling of Contact Tracing in Epidemic Populations Structured by Disease Age

We consider an age-structured epidemic model with two basic public health interventions: (i) identifying and isolating symptomatic cases, and (ii) tracing and quarantine of the contacts of identified infectives. The dynamics of the infected population are modeled by a nonlinear infection-agedependent partial differential equation, which is coupled with an ordinary differential equation that des...

Contact Tracing Activities during the Ebola Virus Disease Epidemic in Kindia and Faranah, Guinea, 2014

The largest recorded Ebola virus disease epidemic began in March 2014; as of July 2015, it continued in 3 principally affected countries: Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Control efforts include contact tracing to expedite identification of the virus in suspect case-patients. We examined contact tracing activities during September 20-December 31, 2014, in 2 prefectures of Guinea using nationa...

A Model of the 2014 Ebola Epidemic in West Africa with Contact Tracing

A differential equations model is developed for the 2014 Ebola epidemics in Sierra Leone and Liberia. The model describes the dynamic interactions of the susceptible and infected populations of these countries. The model incorporates the principle features of contact tracing, namely, the number of contacts per identified infectious case, the likelihood that a traced contact is infectious, and t...
